Ladies Hair Styling
Nikki Powell has worked for over 40 years in the hairdressing industry and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in haircutting, styling and colouring.
Starting as an apprentice working for Rama, a company that valued a high standard of training, Nikki was fortunate enough to be sent away to London to train with all the big names of the time including Joshua Galvin, Trevor Sorbie, Vidal Sassoon and Tony & Guy.
She went on to open six salons with her partner, which they ran successfully for five years. Looking for a change in direction and wanting to give back something to the industry, Nikki then ran a private hairdressing school. Nikki ran this school successfully for a few years before being head-hunted by Redken, and a new direction beckoned again.
Nikki became a salon educator for Redken and found herself back in London, going to the top salons and training their staff in colouring and all other aspects of hairdressing. Nikki stopped working to have her family and then managed a large salon in Southsea while her family were growing up. Nikki moved to Cornwall in 2000 and decided to try something different – she moved into ladies fashion and opened her popular ladieswear boutique Botiga in Fowey.
Returning to what she has always enjoyed the most, Nikki opened hairdressers Hair At Botiga in Fowey, in February 2014. Hair At Botiga expanded in 2015 to include traditional barber services. You can read more about Nikki’s services and prices here.
Barbershop
Jake Slade qualified as a Barber in 2017 and he offers high quality Barbering services to help you look and feel your best. Services range from classic cuts to skin fades and luxury hot towel shaves.
Jake is a friendly relaxed chap, easy to chat with and he is also great with young children, which can be handy with any little fidgits!
Jake is a Barber by day and a Musician by night…if you ask him nicely you may get a tune out of him if he has his harmonica to hand!

Hair Colour and Gel Nails
Sabrina has been working with Nikki for six years and she assists Nikki on a part-time basis as her Colouring Assistant and also runs the new Nail Bar for gel nails.
Sabrina is a busy Mum of four and when she is not being a Mum or a hairdresser she can be found treading the boards with the St Blazey Amateur Operatic Society.
